Does waxing really stimulate hair growth?
i thought it made it slower and finer over time :O
and does shaving, plucking, bleaching stimulate it as well? xDoes waxing really stimulate hair growth?
Hi,
Waxing does not stimulate hair growth, to the contrary, it suppresses it. However, if waxing is not done in the appropriate manner it was break the hair off instead of removing it from the room. Breaking of the hair is what causes hair growth faster. Whereas, pulling of the hair from the root weakens the root and lessens hair growth over time. You have to note that it takes years for hair to become slower growing and almost non visible.
The first step to waxing from the root is choosing an appropriate wax. The is cold wax, hot wax, strong wax, bikini wax, wax for coarse hair etc. From personal experience (I'm a professional Makeup Artist and Stylist) I've noticed that hot wax for coarse hair is the best to use. When it is warmed it smooths well onto the skin and it grabs hod tightly to the hair strands pulling them out all the way.
Shaving does increase hair growth because it does not pull from the root. It shaves the top of the hair, there is still a few millimeters of hair left underneath the skin. It is like trimming your hair, you make it grow longer, faster and healthier. Except most people don't want that on their arms and legs.
Plucking does not stimulate hair growth, if the hair is pulled properly it actually slows down the growth. Plucking like waxing pulls the hair from its roots.
Bleaching doesn't stimulate fast hair growth or slow hair growth because most bleaches out there don't rid you of the hair. They only turn them to an invisible color. :)
Bleach is done properly can last longer than waxing, but it isn't the healthiest alternative. Overtime bleach takes the glow away from your skin. You are best sticking with waxing, plucking or threading (all three of them remove hair from the root if done properly.)
Good luck!Does waxing really stimulate hair growth?
Nope. Waxing makes it grow slower, But it doesn't do anything other then that for hair growth. Just like shaving, and tweezing(Plucking is for chickens.) and bleaching.

Try unrefined coconut oil.
Good luck
Rosemary oil. It stimulates the scalp. Research it online. It does really work. You can also take biotin.
Ginger! I read this in a medical journal years ago.
Make sure your hair is completely cleanm and apply mashed ginger or ginger slices for about 10-20 minutes a day.
Also, egg yolk can give your hair a silky and shiney texture!
.
Hiya
A good tip to get your hair growing faster is to take multi vits. I know it sounds stupid but it really helps with hair growth and the hair will be shiner too.
Another good thing to do is really massarge your head when you shampoo it this helps stimulate blood flow to the head which encourages hair growth.
Ive been doing both these things and also getting it cut regulary to prevent split ends and breakage and mines growing really well.
Good luck :)
and if it doesnt work there are always hair extensions!! :)
wash your hair twice a day for a month and it will grow 4 inches:)

Aloe vera plantIs there anything non-chemical that stimulates hair growth?
I am told rabbit droppings rubbed into the scalp. But you have to get the droppings on the first pass, not after they have eaten the droppings for a second pass.
Then put straw on top and hold it all down with a pom-pom hat.

Do any products help stimulate hair growth?
You know things like Rogain.Do any products help stimulate hair growth?
Yup, it's called The Hair Cure, or THC. It's a green substance that you smoke.Do any products help stimulate hair growth?
Since you know about Rogaine, what are you asking?
There is a product called ';Mane and Tail'; that they use on horses to make their hair grow and seem thicker as they use it. I know a lot of people that have used it and it made their hair seem fuller and thicker. I don't know if it promotes hair growth or not. You can buy it now at Walmart. It is just like conditioner.
Rogaine will work on the back of the head on some people but it takes several months of dedicated use to see the result.
Discontinue use if redness appears.
Try rubbing dog poop on you head.
they say rogains helps. stimulation of hair follicles, thats why hair brushing used to be the answer,or hanging upsidedown so blood would flood the head and cause growth.this all helps but maybe you can call your beaution for up to date products. bonding and plugs are the next step.

I need a product that will stimulate hair growth! I'm getting married in 10 months and my hair is too short !
My hair is too short for a updo. I donated my hair to the cancer society, I thought my hair would grow back by the time I got married. I've heard of pills or shampoo that help. Please if anyone knows which one is that best.I need a product that will stimulate hair growth! I'm getting married in 10 months and my hair is too short !
You will have to go the extension route if you want longer hair. Besides a healthy diet and proper hair care, there is not anything (drugs, herbs shampoos or any other snake oil remedy) that you can do about the growth rate (approx.1/2 inch per month) of your hair. Do not waste your time and money on these products - spend that on your wedding.I need a product that will stimulate hair growth! I'm getting married in 10 months and my hair is too short !
you could take a good multi pill but hair only grows 1/2 an inch a month at most.
get extensions, they can be a little bit expensive.
but id prefer to spend my money on that then getting some shampoos/creams that could wreck my hair and risk going bald for my wedding.
Doo Gro products
Dr. Miralces products
Mane 'N Tail products.

you could try eating veg and getting in all your natural vitamins.
i havent heard of any shampoo that would make your hair grow fast.
hair averagely grows 1/4-1/2 inch a month. so your hair would grow 2%26amp;1/2 inchs minimum.
i would by some clip in extensions for the day, you can get them quite cheap and if they are human hair you dont have to throw them away andcan use them as your own hair once theyre clipped in!!
xxhope i helped a bitxx
They say that horse shampoo stimulates hair growth. But who knows if it's actually true. You could try taking those ';hair, skin, and nails'; vitamins that they sell at drug stores. I don't know of anyone who takes them, so I can't say if they are effective or not.
If your wedding day is 10 months away, then maybe you should take the time to looking into hair extensions. Do some research. Find out which are the best types of extensions to get, find out how the procedure is done, how long it takes, how long the extensions last, how much it costs, etc.
You should consider extensions as an option if your hair isn't long enough in 10 months.
treat it with minoxidil, its a hair regrowth treatment. u spray it to the area, actually this is for falling/loosing hair, well it works for me, but in your case u want it to grow faster, then spray the whole scalp and massage it in circular motion. mybe i should try it too, im growing my hair and i want it fast, its really effective. you can buy this in drug store
Roma is good aurvedhic product which can stimulate your hair growth.....
You could always try extentions for the big day?
Congratulations!!!
There are a few over the counter nail, hair %26amp; skin pills out there you could try. Go to your local cvs

Doesn't increased blood flow to the scalp stimulate hair growth?
yep, it does. I do hair and that's what i've been taught!!! It doesn't make a huge difference than normal growth but it's always nice to have a head massage!! There is one thing that works and its' crazy lol...but walmart sells vitamins called HAIR...their like $3 for a bottle. I've had countless clients use them and it's amazing how fast their hair has grown and how much thicker it is..I know it's hard to believe but it's true, my whole family is now using them too lol....Doesn't increased blood flow to the scalp stimulate hair growth?
Is that why they massage the scalp? I think it's true but i'm no expert.Doesn't increased blood flow to the scalp stimulate hair growth?
I think so but I don't know for sure either. It would make sense though. One of my pals who has thinning hair has a noticeable increase in baby hairs where there usually is none whenever he's less stressed. Just a sidenote!
If increased blood flow helped hair growth I think allot of us would spend much more time on our heads.
Nothing stimulates hair growth-because it is made of dead cells-you can't regulate the growth. And the only reason I know of for massaging your scalp is that it distributes the natural oil from your scalp-into your hair, which is beneficial for shine and softness.

Does coconut oil stimulate hair growth?
Should i use it on my scalp or on my hair ends as a sealant?
Or should i use castor oil?Does coconut oil stimulate hair growth?
Coconut oil is great because it penetrates the hair more than other oils and retains moisture well. I don't really think it stimulates hair growth though. If you're looking to grow thicker hair then you can put the castor oil on your scalp and use the coconut oil to seal your ends.Does coconut oil stimulate hair growth?
Exactly.

Does protein stimulate hair growth?
I've been to the doctors as I used to have a condition called Trichotillomania which I have now stopped doing. It resulted in slight hair loss and my doctor said eat and drink high protein sources. Is that going to make hair grow faster?Does protein stimulate hair growth?
Hair typically grows 1/3 of an inch every month no matter what but if you take good care of your hair you can grow up to an inch a month.
I suggest taking hair, skin, and nail vitamins, available at any drug store or wal-mart. Things to look for are vitamin B complex, vitamin E, and biotin. Eat healthy and get plenty of protein and dark green vegetables. Hair is mainly composed of protein. Eggs contain a ton of protein. Google ';hair growth foods'; for ideas. Also try daily scalp massages using your fingertips to stimulate hair growth, it gets blood flowing in your scalp and feels great. Avoid frying your hair at all costs. Get plenty of sleep and excercise, especially cardiovascular excercises like running. Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and stress.
A good conditioner is also important. Sunsilk is amazing and cheap, the kind I am currently using contains jojoba oil wich is AMAZING. Any sunsilk product is amazing and cheap.
If you have fried hair, do not dye it anymore and try hot oil treatments, and do not use shampoo every day. I leave contitioner in for about 5 minutes before washing it out to keep mine looking healthy. If you have split ends get them trimmed to avoid it getting worse.Does protein stimulate hair growth?
protein strenghtens hair i am big on my hair and eat alot of eggs and exercise eat bananas whole grains potatoes baked multivitamin cheese lean meats u need all this for strong hair especially eggs i eat like 3-4 a day and on weekends 7-8 eggs so have 24 in a week eggs are the best for the hair and so are almonds i don't recommend u eat that many eggs i never liked eggs then started having 4 a day for 3 months and my hair was stronger and healthier then i upgraded as i got more physical with my life as a house keeper and i walk every day or other day at least a mile and i've lost weight and gained lean muscle but i feel great and my hair is so much healthier
No it does not but some studies suggest that a high protein diet can reduce the urge to pull.

Are there any vitamins I can buy to stimulate hair growth?
any advice would be appreciated... thanks....Are there any vitamins I can buy to stimulate hair growth?
yes avacore and hair genesis you can also get a aloe plant and cut it open and then put that in the scalp . I hope that helps. Are there any vitamins I can buy to stimulate hair growth?
Not that I know of. Maybe its your DNA generic code to go bald.
Massaging the hair folicules might help.
Minoxil is supposed to help, retrieve lost hair. Once you start, don't stop or hair falls out again.
My wife is a hairdresser and she says... ';Vitamin E is good for hair, teeth , skin and nails. Try giving yourself a good scalp massage using medium pressure with the pads of your fingertips in a circular motion to help stimulate the hair folicles. It will help circulate bloodflow to your hair follicles with the vitamin E. Your follicles will feed on the blood with the vitamins and in turn help your hair to grow. Good luck..
vitamin B
pre-natal vitamins should do the trick
go to a Great Clips or a Fantastic Sams and ask for Nioxin vitamins. Any liscenced stylist can give you advise on how to take them and some other good products to use. P.S. If you don't have one of those salons where you live, go to any discount salon that you have locally. They will offer better prices on the exact same hair products than the up scale places. Just don't get your hair cut at one of those dicount places, Always splurge when you get your hair cut / styled. You get what you pay for.
Nioxin has a system designed for hair loss... Here I have included the link...
http://www.nioxin.com/
And a GREAT vitamin for hair growth is Biotin... you can get it at GNC its like 5 bucks a bottle... and yea it does work, you will prob see results in about a month... maybe 2 depending on your hair..
Try out the Nioxin... its awesome
GNC has a supplement called ';Nourishair'; that makes the hair grow faster, you can read what's in it by googling it.
Also ProCaps labs sells a ';hair skin and nails'; formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health
If you take only Biotin alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourshair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results.
Try to eat a lot of ';omega fatty acid'; (yeah, it sounds funny!). It makes your hair healthier and stronger. You can find it in salmon and trout, and basically any other fish. There are also vitamins for your hair that work well. Good luck!

Will wetting the hair on one's head on a daily basis stimulate hair growth?
Searching for a way to grow hair. Will wetting the hair on one's head on a daily basis stimulate hair growth?
No, it just dries your hair out! the best thing to make your hair grow faster is to have it trimmed every 6 weeks! failing that you can get herbal tablets that promote hair and nail growth and a healthy skin complexion and they are quite cheap too! Try your local health food shop! Will wetting the hair on one's head on a daily basis stimulate hair growth?
if you comb your hair while wet, it can break strands and cause split ends easier, i started to take prenatal vitamins and my hair grew at least 6 inches in less than a couple months and you don't have to be pregnant to take them. another benefit to them is your nails will grow faster and stonger as well!!! and your skin will be better as well!!!
that's the weirdest thing i've ever heard....no, that won't help. take prenatal vitamins
try Miracle Grow for plants-hehehehe!
uh... no. where did you even hear that? take vitamins that promote hair growth like vitamin e, fish oil, or prenatal vitamins. dont wash your hair too often. anywhere from every other day if you are white and greasy to i think like once a week if you are black and dry. your hair's natural oils that it produces are good for it, so overwashing it can make it weak. get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks to keep it healthy and use a good quality shampoo and conditioner like paul mitchell. and dont use the same shampoo or conditioner every day, but keep on a rotation of like 3 different ones. the same one will cause buildup if you use it all the time. one of the ones in your rotation should be a clarifying shampoo like paul mitchell #2 shampoo. and i like his leave in conditioner called ';the conditioner'; its great for summer.
No. but it will help you comb your hair.
I do it every morning, I'm 77, still have my hair although my forehead is growing!
No. Your best bet is to take vitamins, eat healthy, and drink lots of water. My friends used to try alot of things to get their hair to grow but nothing worked so dont waste your money on products that claim they will make your hair grow faster. However, they alot of them did use horse shampoo, and that seemed to work. They were told to use shampoo for horses by their stylist. Good Luck =)

Are there any vitamins or healthcare supplements that will help stimulate hair growth FOR MEN?
I know hair loss is hereditary but is there anything or any product that can be done or taken to prevent it or slow it down? Are there any vitamins or healthcare supplements that will help stimulate hair growth FOR MEN?
Dihydrotestosterone or dht is the chemical that causes hairloss. It attaches to your hair follicle and clogs it up. This clogging causes the growing hair to become thinner and thinner until the follicle is completely closed causing hair not to grow there again. Your sensitivity to dht is what is genetic. You don't want to get testerone treatments as the by product of testerone is dht. To increase the testerone is to increase the problem. Saw palmetto does help increase hair growth and thickness but only to places where there is a healthy follicle. A dht clogged follicle would not qualify. Propecia really is the best answer. It keeps the dht from binding to the hair follicle and allows the hair growth to resume naturally. It does not make hair grow, it lets hair grow without chemical restriction. A 30 pill Rx. is about $53.00 at Sam's Clubs nationwide. Most other pharmacies will price match if you ask. Even in areas where your hair is fuzz thin, propecia can open up the follicle and allow a full head of hair to return. You don't have to be bald. After you have acheived the growth that you want, you can take the pill every other day to maintain follicle health. Massage is good for stimulation and can/should be included in regular hair maintenance but this alone will not stop dht binding. Propecia will, and it has been in use long enough for you to get lots of info on it including long term effects up to 15 years out. Hope this helps. Are there any vitamins or healthcare supplements that will help stimulate hair growth FOR MEN?
Sea-salt rubbed into the hair helps a friend of mine. That may be just the stimulation that helps, but he says the salt feels good, too. Try it. Gelatine works well for nails, so I don't see why it wouldn't work well for hair.
my great aunt says to brush your hair lots and it will grow, it stimulates the hair follicles to be strong and to grow, she was a vice president of the hair association of western Canada or something like that.
she noticed that when i showered there was hair left in the tub, so she told me that, and i brush my hair lots now, and the hair loss is way less when i shower. try it, nothing to lose,
Yes there is. Saw palmetto.
I can understand if you don't have hair or if you are losing it, how humiliating it must be. It mainly seems to be a problem with people of fair skin pigment genetics, although other ethnicities experience this genetic deficiency of dihydrotestosterone too. Since hair loss represents a type of decrease in testosterone; testosterone therapy might be an option, however I'm not a doctor, so I'm not going to adamantly suggest that you run out and get pumped up with testosterone. You might want to stop consuming cow's milk and other food and drink substances with estrogen in them. It might help.
There are some medications that have been proven to grow hair. Their culmination came from the result of side effects discovered from medicinal substances originally designed to treat other maladies such as cancer or bladder illnesses.
Currently Propecia and Rogaine are the only two that I know of that grow hair, however these medications are expensive.
My old roommate is on some type of medication to treat his health problems (he has prostate problems) ; it grows hair too and it is neither one of the medications mentioned above. He takes a prescription medicine of some type. Propecia and Rogaine no longer require a prescription.
Another option is getting a microfollicle hair transplant. They are virtually undetectable to the naked eye. These are very expensive too.
The third but least desirable option is getting a wig (toupee) The expensive ones can look ok, but must be maintained to keep their ';real'; look. If it's a small toupee to cover a hair loss problem that isn't that great, you might be able to get away with this look, otherwise they look quite phony and can be spotted a mile away, if almost your entire head is a bald spot. They also are a pain to maintain and are quite uncomfortable because heat and sweat builds up underneath them. They don't ';breathe';
Most of your hair loss has to do with bad genes (see first paragraph). My hair has remained thick throughout my life. The only problem is, now it's getting grey. I've never had the problem of having a tub full of hair after I take a shower or brush it.
Eat well and do other things to keep your body healthy. You'll thank me for it in the long run, trust me.

Vitamins help a lot especially prenatal pills, they help hair, nail, and skin. But I have also seen hair and nail pills at grocery stores before I'm sure that would work just as well. What to eat to stimulate hair growth?
You still need to see a doctor
vitamin e is great for your hair, also your skin and nails
Take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar with a glass of water 2-3 x day or whenever you need a pick-me-up. ACV has 93 vitamins and minerals so it will give you lots of energy. Hair and nails will grow long and super strong. No more hair in comb or brush. Heinz is perfect because its very economical.
Biotin! This will really help. It's an otc vitamin and water soluble so you can't od off it. Talk to your doctor though. Good luck.
when you go to the store (cvs, brooks, a vitamin store)
it will say right on the bottle what it's for
The supplement you need is Silicone. It stimulates hair and nail growth. You can find the purest form from, naturally, Puritan.com. I use it everyday and my hair is more hardy and my nails are so hard I can use them as screwdrivers (not that I do that on a regular basis, don't ya know)!
Do not take prenatal pills because they contain large doses of iron, because you're supposed to take them for you and the baby.
They do not stimulate hair/nail growth, it's an urban myth.
prenatal vitamins!! My hair always grew like a weed when I was on them. They also make your nails grow!
