10 points!!!!What kind of herbs stimulate hair growth?
I have only basic knowledge of herbal remedies and homeopathy and unfortunately do not know about particular herbs that help stimulate hair growth. You need to be extremely careful if you decide to take herbs, since some of them can interact with medications you are taking. Some herbs are also poisonous, and can be deadly in untrained hands.

I'm on iron pills for iron deficency anemia. It has not only improved my hair growth and thickness, but it has also made my nails grow stronger and kept my lips from getting chapped as often. Check down your vitamin aisle and there should be OTC iron tablets that help. There is also iron in the average multivitamin most times, but if you want to focus on your hair growth I think the iron alone would help the most. If you do decide to start taking iron pills, I recommend a stool softener in conjunction with it; iron tends to cause constipation and sometimes changes the color of your stool. Makes life a little bit easier.

Please talk to your doctor before you start taking any herbal remedy, iron, or anything similar. I usually always say better safe than sorry, and they can tell you about any side effects they may have on you, if they would interact with any medications you're currently taking, etc.

If you are still interested in learning about herbal remedies, check out your local holistic/health food store. The one I go to locally has a well trained staff and loose herbs for sell, as well as herbs in pill form. There's also many books out there about herbal remedies, so I also recommend checking out your local library or book store. What kind of herbs stimulate hair growth?
Hi Maddie,

Natural and holistic therapy offers a gentler alternative for people experiencing hair loss than the harsh effects of conventional medication. Treatments such as herbal and homeopathic remedies stimulate and encourage hair growth as well as support blood circulation, hormonal balance and thyroid functioning.

Herbs commonly used include Ginkgo biloba, Rosmarinus officinale and Xanthoxylum clavaherculis help to promote strong, abundant hair. Other powerful herbs such as Equisetum arvense, Avena sativa and Echinacea are effective combating hair loss and nourishing hair follicles.

hope it helps

Good Luck
I know it not a herb! However I have used avocado oil applied to the scalp or wherever you wish numerous times to promote hair growth on myself and others and have never failed to date.

Pure avocado oil must be in a glass bottle.
Aloe Vera!:) Why not try Hair Transplant Surgery? It would cost you at around $6000 if you are from NY.
go to www.iherb.com and see what they may have for you there. if you use promo code jar025 you can get $5.00 off your purchase.
